«Los Puntanos» representarán a la provincia en un torneo nacional de fútbol sordo
Los 15 jóvenes participarán del Campeonato «Copa Amistad» que se jugará en Sarandí -Buenos Aires- el próximo sábado. El equipo provincial se medirá contra sus pares de todo el país.
Un grupo de 15 sanluiseños representará a San Luis en el Campeonato «Copa Amistad», un certamen que reúne a equipos integrados por jóvenes sordos y con hipoacusia. La cita es el próximo sábado en Sarandí, provincia de Buenos Aires: deberán medirse ante sus pares de todo Argentina.
«Los Puntanos» destacaron cuando les tocó enfrentar a sus pares provinciales allá por septiembre: fueron campeones en el certamen disputado en el Polideportivo Ave Fénix tras vencer a equipos de Córdoba, La Rioja, Mendoza, San Juan y Neuquén. Entrenan 3 días por semana en el Parque de las Naciones de la capital provincial.
Mathías Suárez, uno de los integrantes del plantel, manifestó: «Me siento muy emocionado. Nunca en diez años el equipo de San Luis participó de un campeonato y ganó». Sus entrenadores, Lucas Narváez y Emanuel González, agradecieron el apoyo que recibieron para viajar del Programa Deportes provincial y del área Deportes del municipio capitalino. Diferencias mínimas
Los entrenadores explicaron que la modalidad es fútbol 5 en cancha sintética: se mostraron confiados ya que durante la pandemia fueron preparándose conforme se flexibilizaban las actividades deportivas. Remarcaron que la única diferencia respecto al deporte tradicional radica en que el árbitro cobra las faltas agitando un pañuelo visible para todos los jugadores.
Aunque el equipo se formó allá por 2015, Narváez y González tomaron las riendas poco antes de la pandemia. Los técnicos del equipo debieron capacitarse en lenguaje de señas. También reciben acompañamiento del área de Deporte Adaptado de la provincia.
“Está bueno que se pueda visibilizar lo que es la lengua de señas, la discapacidad auditiva, y que no tienen ningún problema en competir, en socializar, compartir con las demás personas oyentes; hasta realizamos amistosos y no tienen ninguna dificultad más allá de la comunicación, así que hay que visualizar esas cuestiones”, añadió Narváez.
