Esperan un récord histórico en el consumo de energía eléctrica

Las autoridades nacionales esperan un pico de 28.550 megavatios para este jueves. Solicitaron al sector industrial reducir la demanda energética entre las 13:00 y las 16:00.

El impacto de las altas temperaturas también repercute sobre el consumo de energía eléctrica, generando los habituales bajones de tensión y cortes en el suministro. Esta semana se produjo un aumento considerable en la demanda energética en Argentina, especialmente en el centro del país.

Tan elevada es la demanda que este jueves esperan un nuevo récord histórico en el consumo energético: las autoridades confían en que llegará a la marca de 28.550 megavatios en el Sistema Argentino de Interconexión -SADI-. La noticia fue anunciada en conferencia de prensa por Anibal Fernández y Darío Martínez, ministro de Seguridad y secretario de Energía respectivamente.

A nivel provincial, EDESAL también informó un alza en el consumo de energía eléctrica: para las 10:00 ya se habían consumido 356 megavatios. El día anterior habían registrado 20 MV menos a las 14:50.

Uso racional

Para evitar una saturación del sistema, las autoridades solicitaron una reducción en la demanda energética entre las 13:00 y las 16:00. La única excepción serán aquellas fábricas que no tengan ciclos continuados, ya que la prioridad será asignar energía residencial. Asimismo, EDESAL dejó algunas recomendaciones para cuidar la energía:

  • Aire acondicionado:
    • Programarlo en 24 grados: cada grado extra representa 8% más de consumo.
    • Limpiar los filtros cada 3 meses para que el equipo no consuma más energía.
    • Para conservar la temperatura, mantener cerradas las puertas y ventanas del espacio que se está utilizando.
    • Apagarlo al salir de la habitación.
  • Televisor y electrodomésticos:
    • No mantenerlos encendidos sin necesidad: gastan más energía y disminuyen su vida útil.
    • Desconectarlos cuando no se usan ya que aún apagados continúan en “stand by”. Se calcula que hasta un 15% del consumo energético de los hogares puede ser producido por esta función.
    • Al finalizar la carga, desenchufar el cargador del celular para que no produzca un consumo innecesario.
  • Iluminación:
    • Usar lámparas LED: consumen un 45% menos que las de bajo consumo y duran 7 veces más.
    • Pintar de colores claros los espacios internos de la casa: así se necesitará de lámparas de menor potencia para iluminarlos.
    • No dejar luces encendidas en los espacios sin uso.
  • Heladera y freezer:
    • Verificar que los burletes de la puerta estén en buen estado para evitar pérdidas de frío.
    • Tratar de abrirla sólo cuando sea necesario y durante el menor tiempo posible.
    • No introducir alimentos calientes en la heladera.
