El Ministerio de Economía, a través de la Secretaría de Energía, anunciará este martes los detalles del nuevo esquema de subsidios al consumo de gas y electricidad, que incluye la segmentación de acuerdo a los ingresos de los usuarios, con una diferenciación de acuerdo a la región del país, y un tope de referencia para incentivar la eficiencia y el ahorro energético.
Fuentes oficiales informaron que el anuncio está previsto para las 13:00 en la sede del Ministerio de Economía, luego de una postergación de unos días que permitieron trabajar detalles durante este fin de semana.
La secretaria de Energía, Flavia Royón, indicó la semana pasada que se decidió la postergación para trabajar en los detalles que permitan «ser lo más claros posible y llevar tranquilidad a la población ya que, la actualización de tarifas será en cuotas y afectará sólo a los sectores de niveles adquisitivo altos”, al ser consultada sobre la oficialización de las nuevas tarifas de energía.
El esquema incluirá, asimismo, especificaciones acerca de la segmentación y el tope de consumo por zona y sector, teniendo en cuenta, además, factores como el climático.
Respecto de los topes, los nuevos valores partirán de mantener la tarifa vigente a los niveles 2 (de menores ingresos) y 3 (de ingresos medios), pero en este último caso el consumo que exceda los 400 kWh no será subsidiado, aunque aún debe precisarse si este tope será bimestral o mensual.
«Tenemos la máxima de que ésta actualización de tarifas sea por debajo del índice de coeficiente de variación salarial y en cuotas”, detalló Royón, y subrayó que los beneficiarios de la tarifa social «no van a sufrir una nueva actualización este año».
La secretaria de Energía nacional aclaró: «Es sólo una porción de la población la que va a sufrir esta actualización porque es la indicación del Presidente» Alberto Fernández.
Respecto del esquema de subsidios, el ministro Massa había dado a conocer a pocos días de asumir el cargo que a la segmentación se agregarán topes de consumo para promover el ahorro de recursos y un sistema más progresivo de subsidios.
En ese marco, destacó que «quien menos consume o menos ingresos tiene, menos paga; quien más consume o más ingresos tiene, más paga».
