LA POBREZA EN SAN LUIS SUBIÓ AL 47,3% Y ES LA TERCERA PROVINCIA CON PEORES ÍNDICES
El 6,8% de la población está en situación de indigencia. Según los datos del Indec, sólo en el Gran San Luis 116.298 personas son pobres.
Este miércoles, el Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Censos (Indec) difundió el informe sobre la pobreza e indigencia en todo el país. Los datos corresponden al primer semestre de 2023 y San Luis volvió a arrojar una cifra alarmante: el 47,3% de la población es pobre.
La proporción de personas en esta condición subió más de dos puntos. En el segundo semestre de 2022 se había ubicado en el 45,2%.
La cifra de indigentes también se elevó en lo que va del año. Pasó de 5,3% a 6,8%. Esto abarca a aquellos sanluiseños que no pueden satisfacer las necesidades básicas.
Es necesario tener en cuenta que la medición del Indec sólo abarca al Gran San Luis, es decir, la capital, Juana Koslay, La Punta y El Chorrillo. Desde allí el número se proyecta a nivel provincial.
Según el informe, sólo en estas cuatro localidades hay 116.298 personas pobres y 16.694 indigentes.
Otro de los puntos preocupantes es que San Luis incluso se ubicó por encima de la media nacional. En el país, la pobreza alcanza al 40,1%.
No ocurre lo mismo con la indigencia, que la proporción nacional supera a la provincial. El promedio en Argentina es del 9,3%.
El grave contexto que vive San Luis la ubicó como el tercer aglomerado con el índice más alto. Sólo es superada por Gran Resistencia (60,3%) y Concordia (58,3%).
Si comparamos los datos de San Luis con el mismo periodo de 2022 se desprende que la pobreza creció un 9,2% porque en ese periodo era de 38,8%.
La indigencia en un año fue del 4,8% al 6,8%.
Si trasladamos los números a los hogares, 30.408 están en situación de pobreza y 4460 de indigencia.
