Tomás Sarmiento buscará la intendencia de Potrero de los Funes

Es enfermero general y profesor de enseñanza primaria. Competirá en las elecciones de este año para el cargo de Intendente de Potrero de los Funes, en representación del Movimiento Vecinal Independiente Provincial -MOVIPRO-.

Como suele ser costumbre, algunas localidades eligen a sus funcionarios entre las elecciones ejecutivas generales. Tal es el caso de Potrero de los Funes, que deberá escoger un nuevo Intendente en estos comicios. Uno de los pre candidatos es Tomás Sarmiento, perteneciente al MOVIPRO. Anunció su candidatura a finales de julio, en consonancia con el cierre de presentación de listas.

El anuncio tuvo lugar en redes: Sarmiento explicó que se vieron «obligados a participar en política». El enfermero local explicó que apelarán a la crítica constructiva, para mejorar los aspectos que los vecinos de Potrero de los Funes advierten en su cotidianeidad.

Sarmiento, con trayectoria como empresario turístico, criticó el mal estado de las calles, la falta de iluminación y las carencias en los servicios esenciales -luz, gas y cloacas-. En este sentido, para el lo importante es «cerrar las grietas y trabajar por el vecino». «Queremos barajar y dar de nuevo», añadió.

Otro de los puntos centrales son las condiciones de trabajo de los empleados municipales: para Sarmiento los sueldos son bajos, las vestimentas que usan no son adecuadas -no tienen casco, guantes o calzado apropiado- y las herramientas que les asignan son precarias.

Actualmente, Sarmiento preside la Junta Vecinal del Barrio Villa Magdalena: intentará ocupar la intendencia con la Lista 641 del MOVIPRO.
