La tragedia ocurrió durante la madrugada del miércoles. Habría sido por problemas con el gas.

Los cuerpos fueron hallados pasado el mediodía.

Triste final para una familia pampeana. Las muertes por monóxido de carbono son noticia todos los años en nuestro país: malas condiciones de vivienda, falta de servicios e instalaciones precarias. Todos estos son agravantes que ponen en peligro la vida de miles de familias.

En este caso, la tragedia alcanzó a un hombre de 47 años y una mujer de 44 años. Con ellos estaban sus nietas de 7 y 11 años, y dos adolescentes de 16 y 17 años. Todos fueron alcanzados por el peligroso gas en la madrugada.

Tan fuerte fue la contaminación que incluso hallaron dos perros muertos por inhalación de monóxido de carbono en la vivienda. En este sentido, el fiscal Oscar Cazenave fue concluyente con la causa de las muertes.

En medio de llantos y desconsuelo de vecinos y parientes, el Equipo Forense de la Agencia de Investigación Científica hizo las primeras pericias en el lugar. Minutos más tarde, se acercaron encargados de Camuzzi Gas Pampeana, para evitar que hayan inconvenientes futuros con el suministro de gas.

¿Cómo evitar la contaminación por monóxido de carbono?

Les dejamos una serie de consejos para calefaccionar sus hogares de forma segura:

  1. Mantener siempre una ventana abierta en cada ambiente calefaccionado, aunque haga frío.
  2. No utilizar el horno a gas de la cocina para calentar la casa.
  3. No instalar nunca un calefón en el baño.
  4. Nunca dormir con una estufa encendida en el mismo ambiente.
  5. Controlar que las llamas del gas sean siempre azules.
