Así la llamaron en el Hospital Piñero, donde fue trasladada para examinar su estado de salud. Es una bebé de 3,5 kilos y está en buen estado de salud.

Todo fue sorpresa para este cartonero que revisaba el contenedor situado en Curapaligüe y Zelarrayán, en el barrio porteño de Flores, cuando encontró que algo se movía dentro de una de las bolsas. Jamás imaginó lo que se encontraría: una bebe recién nacida, sana y salva.

El hombre avisó sobre la situación a personal de la Comisaría Vecinal 6 de la Policía de la Ciudad, quienes se acercaron para descubrir que había dentro de la bolsa. Tras ver la cara de la bebe uno de los policías la sacó rápidamente de la bolsa de nylon y la tomó en brazos.

Víctor Díaz, oficial primero de la fuerza, comentó que se acercaron al contenedor a ver que pasaba, sorprendidos por la acumulación de gente. «Entonces, dimos la vuelta y al llegar al lugar una persona nos dice, ‘esta bolsa que está en el piso se movía, no sé si es un bebé, un animal, un perro’. Ahí fue que procedimos a revisarla y a abrir la bolsa. Sentí emoción. Lo que hicimos fue tratar de que fuera trasladada lo más rápido posible, porque constatamos que estaba con vida, pero no sabíamos el estado en que se encontraba», añadió el oficial.

La bebé fue trasladada al área de neonatología del Hospital Piñero: allí fue llamada Jorgelina. Informaron que la niña estaba en buen estado de salud, y habría nacido en un lapso no menor a una hora antes de ser hallada en la basura. La beba de 3,5 kilos quedó bajo la órbita del Consejo de Niñas, Niños y Adolescentes del gobierno de la Ciudad y a la Asesoría Tutelar en turno.

Mientras tanto, las autoridades trabajan para dar con los padres de la bebé. El caso quedó en manos del fiscal Nestor Maragliano, titular de la Fiscalía de Primera Instancia en lo Penal, Contravencional y de Faltas Número 25. Maragliano ya inició una causa por el delito «abandono de persona» y colocó una consigna policial en el nosocomio para resguardar a la pequeña.
