El pintor mallorquín presenta su obra producida durante la pandemia y que expresa esa sensación de «angustia!

El afamado artista de Mallorca, Miguel Barceló, quien se define como un acérrimo amante de la obra de Picasso, presentará en el museo que lleva el nombre de su pintor favorito, su nueva obra, la cual ha realizado en estos meses de pandemia, y que recién ahora empiezan a ver la luz, aunque con el rebrote de COVID es probable que no vaya tanta gente como le hubiera gustado.

Hace unos días, en una entrevista que concedió al diario El País de España, Barceló dijo que: “Es raro trabajar para que pueda venir tan poca gente, pero lo importante es estar”, y confió a ese diario que no veía la hora de poder volver a las aulas, ofrecer taller de cerámica y realizar las sesiones de trabajo junto a niños que tienen alguna discapacidad, que es algo que él disfruta mucho hacer.

Como a tantos artistas, el tema del coronavirus les trunco presentaciones, exposiciones y viajes, pero aprovechó el tiempo creando, que es lo que más le gusta hacer, y como dijo en la entrevista que le realizarán: “Uno busca estar solo y, de alguna manera, el confinamiento vino a mí”. Pero en algún momento todos los artistas necesitan mostrar su trabajo, y este parece ser el momento preciso para ello, y lo hace en un lugar muy simbólico para él.

Fue durante el confinamiento donde nacieron las obras que hoy se exponen en el Museo de Málaga, y tienen como temática mucho de lo que ha pasado como todos nosotros: “Reflejan esos momentos de asfixia”, es decir, recupera la visión de la angustia del encierro, de la “asfixia” de no poder salir, sobre todo en un país en donde funciona el toque de queda en algunas comunidades. La exposición cuenta con acuarelas, pinturas y esculturas que recoge la producción del último año, pero también lo hecho por el artista desde el 2015 hasta la fecha: “Es la exposición más intensa que he realizado”, apunta.

Entre sus obras destacan los azules, los magentas y amarillos, y resalta la imponente obra “La transformación” que el artista ilustró para Gallimard sobre la obra de Franz Kafka. Gran parte de la inspiración de Barceló nace de considerarse a si mismo un “bicho raro”, y eso lo ha llevado a tener una obra con una profunda “digresión” como el mismo la califica. Por ahora la obra de este genial artista podrá apreciarse en Málaga, pero nunca se sabe si los aires de la vida no lo traen a la Argentina, donde muchos de sus seguidores esperan verlo pronto exponiendo sus emblemáticas obras.

  670. When I originally commented I seem to have clicked on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and from now on each time a comment is added I receive four emails with the same comment. There has to be an easy method you are able to remove me from that service? Cheers.
