La grieta no es sólo política. En estos días aparece una nueva grieta entre quienes tienen su media naranja y esperan el día de los enamorados para tener un detalle con la otra persona, salir a almorzar o disfrutar de un lindo paseo romántico. Pero también están quiénes el amor les es esquivo, y prefieren burlarse de esta fecha, o sencillamente, tomársela a broma.

Pero lo cierto es que desde hace años se ha impuesto un festejo que viene desde otro continente. Así como Halloween, el día de San Valentín se ha ido impuesto paulatinamente en nuestros propios festejos y miles de parejas de enamorados y comercios, preparan ese día con mucho entusiasmo.

La oferta gastronómica y de entretenimiento se tiñe de corazones y frases hechas, pero que todavía encantan a muchas y muchos en nuestro país, algo que la postmodernidad aún no ha roto. El amor, sigue uniendo a las personas, por eso muchos disfrutan festejar este sentimiento tan íntimo y profundo que une a dos personas.

Con el advenimiento de las redes, y la dificultad en las relaciones sociales, están quienes se encuentran solos, tanto por decisión propia, como por casualidad o simplemente porque no han encontrado a la persona soñada o deseada. Son los haters de la felicidad, que navegan entre la impostura y la ridiculización de una fecha que para muchos nada tiene que ver con el amor y los sentimientos.

Vivimos en una sociedad donde la soledad se ha hecho carne en una buena parte de las personas entre 25 y 45 años, que antaño ya formaban familia o tenían hijos, y que hoy prefieren otros estilos de vida, tienen otras prioridades y metas, pero el día de San Valentín pareciera ponerlas en entredicho.

Por más que se critique al querubín del carajillo, y por más metas que tengamos, muchos siguen esperando a esa persona ideal, y aunque aderecemos un presente de soledad con chistes, no deja de sorprender esa tensión entre nuestros propios deseos y lo que la realidad nos impone.

Para aquellos que disfrutan del amor y de la compañía de una pareja es una buena ocasión para aprovechar y pasar tiempo con el otro. Para los que no, quizás es un buen momento para dejar los prejuicios de lado, y salir a conocer gente, o simplemente aceptar esa cita que venimos postergando. En definitiva, es un buen momento para pasarla bien, sobre todo, en un año que ha sido difícil para las relaciones humanas.
