Johana Ontiveros padece una cardiopatía congénita y fue operada a los 7 años en la Fundación Favaloro. Ahora necesita volver al quirófano y la mutual Dospu no le cubre ni la cirugía ni el traslado.
Johana Ontiveros nació con una cardiopatía congénita: su estenosis subaórtica severa la obligó a operarse a corazón abierto cuando solo tenía 7 años. En esa ocasión, fue atendida en la Fundación Favaloro en Buenos Aires. Tras la intervención pudo seguir una vida normal, siempre que se regule con los esfuerzos físicos. Sin embargo, este año sintió presión en el pecho y falta de aire mientras practicaba ejercicio: tras pasar por una serie de estudios cardiológicos su médicos le dijo que debía operarse de nuevo.
El problema para Johana, que trabaja de niñera y estudia Geografía en un terciario, es que la Dirección de Obra Social del Personal Universitario -Dospu- no tiene convenios con clínicas de Buenos Aires y no le cubre ni la cirugía ni el traslado. Ante ese escenario la joven decidió juntar fondos para poder costear estos gastos, sumado al hospedaje durante su estadía en el Río de La Plata.
Luego de que un especialista conversara con su cardiólogo de cabecera, Johana viajó a la Fundación Favaloro para ser examinada. Los expertos le confirmaron que debía ser intervenida quirúrgicamente otra vez. “No es algo que tenga que ser ya, se puede planificar, pero la idea es hacerla lo antes posible, ya que la válvula puede estar afectada”, explicó la joven, que deberá viajar nuevamente a Buenos Aires en enero.
Caso especial
Johana explicó que su patología es tan extraña que será usada como referencia en la clase de Medicina de la Universidad Católica de Cuyo. «Los médicos me pidieron permiso para hacerme un eco doppler y mostrar mi cardiopatía”, narró la estudiante de Geografía.
Con apoyo de sus familiares la joven organizó una rifa para juntar fondos: sortean un lechón, un cambio de distribución para el auto, una multiprocesadora, un cambio de look completo, una sesión de depilación definitiva, entre otros. El número cuesta $350 y el sorteo será realizado el 17 de diciembre por la Lotería Nacional Nocturna.
