Unos cuantos muchos evocarán la Batalla de Caseros. Mi evocación, puede ser un despropósito para esos cuantos muchos. Evoquemos pues!!!

Sombra dichosa de Faustino, voy a evocarte para que tu fantasmal presencia susurre a mis oídos esos momentos de la historia patria en los campos de Caseros ese 3 de febrero de 1852, inmortalizados desde tu exquisita pluma de convidado a la fiesta como cronista de guerra del Ejército Grande!
Es que, ese histórico día no fue una más de las tantas batallas de la Antología de las Guerras Civiles Argentinas. Fue una epopeya. Unos cuantos algunos me dirán que fue una brutal traición con apoyatura extranjera. Otros cuantos menganos, al menos darán cabida a una paciente reflexión.
Ya lo había narrado en su Facundo nuestro ilustre apuntador : “Facundo no ha muerto,…está vivo,…en Rosas, su heredero, su complemento…, Tirano sin rival hoy en la tierra…!
Sin embargo, la historia quiso que apareciera en el escenario de su trama conspirativa la figura de un rival para ese Tirano, ya, – sin rival. Ya había emergido su figura desde su famoso Pronunciamiento y ese 3 de Febrero de 1852 cabalgaba al mando de la bandera del colorido Ejército Grande el futuro primer Presidente Constitucional Argentino, Don Justo José de Urquiza
El resultado de Caseros cimentaba esa gran obra de arquitectura política que el Restaurador de las Leyes había contribuido a edificar. Es que, como Tú, ángel visionario dijiste: “….Rosas era el último obstáculo a vencer…”. El historiador Tulio Halperín Donghi también te cita: “Tal como entrevió Sarmiento, la Argentina rosista, con sus brutales simplificaciones políticas….era la hija legítima de la Revolución de 1810.
Caído el Régimen Rosista, se avanza en la materialización del Proyecto de la Generación del ’37 y del Pacto Federal del ’31. Por fin se sanciona la Constitución Nacional de 1853. Pero claro, esa obra cumbre del XIX, la denominada Organización Nacional, no estaba completa aún. Buenos Aires ponía escollos en el camino.
Hubo que aguardar hasta fines del 1880. En esos aciagos pero finalmente venturosos momentos históricos, la Obra, con sus brutales atrocidades y sus no menores grandilocuentes eufemismos (La Conquista del Desierto), estaba consumada. La consolidación del Estado Nacional Argentino era innegable.
Sin embargo, Tú, cuyano aguijoneador, espíritu inquieto, incesante provocador, ya en 1883 manifestabas tu descontento, tus discrepancias. Discrepancias que desde luego tendrán cabida a partir de próximas evocaciones.

Posdata: cabe aclarar que la presente dista leguas de pretender ser un abordaje desde la historiografía académica. Para ello consultar a nuestros buenos historiadores, que los hay en cuantía.
