Vacunas, encierro y relato. ¿La “cuarta revolución industrial está en marcha?
Una pequeña reflexión en torno al positivo de Covid-19 de Alberto Fernández luego de aplicarse las dos dosis y las consecuencias para nuestro futuro inmediato

Que el presidente de la nación haya dado positivo al coronavirus no es un dato menor, ni una anécdota, sobre todo después de haberse aplicado las dos dosis de la tan promocionada vacuna rusa. No es intención aquí criticar la vacuna en sí misma, pero si reflexionar sobre algunas cuestiones que son fundamentales para el futuro.
Primero que nada, el relato. Hace meses hemos asistido a la épica de los “vuelos de la vida” que traían las vacunas salvadoras desde Moscú, como si fuera el preludio de la derrota de la humanidad frente a un virus, que casi nada tiene de diferente con otros virus de la misma familia. Podrá ser mas contagioso, pero en términos de letalidad es igual de bajo. Para estos datos pueden consultarse los informes sobre virus respiratorios del Ministerio de Salud de la Nación, de la Organización Mundial de la Salud, o simplemente material epidemiológico escrito sobre series históricas de enfermedades respiratorias.
No obstante, hace un año que el mundo viene pregonando la peor pandemia de la humanidad, incluso uno podría pensar que hasta peor que la “peste negra” que asoló a la edad media y parte de la edad moderna. El coronavirus, se nos presentó como la peste posmoderna que iba a acabar con la humanidad. Y ciertamente lo está haciendo, pero no por efecto de la enfermedad, sino de las decisiones de los gobiernos del mundo.
Después de un año, o mejor dicho, en un año, han producido un cambio fenomenal en las formas de trabajo y producción, algo asimilable a una “cuarta revolución industrial”, donde el trabajo empezó a reorganizarse de manera virtual, en cada hogar, alterando radicalmente los ritmos y tiempos de trabajo y de las familias.
La posmodernidad, con su virus, ha trastocado las relaciones sociales, incluso las ha convertido en sospechosas. Abrazar es peligroso, besar es peligroso, amar es peligroso. Todo lleva a un virus, cuyo efecto sobre la humanidad es cuasi inofensivo.
También nos han encerrado en nuestras propias fronteras. Viajar es otro peligro, no sólo porque quizás no sea fácil regresar, sino porque uno queda al arbitrio de las autoridades sanitarias del país de destino. Es decir, se han destruido, en un año, todas las certezas que guiaban nuestra vida cotidiana antes de marzo de 2020.
Pero el problema es más grave aún, si se contagio el presidente, y la vacuna no evita contagiarse entonces ¿Qué queda para el futuro? ¿Cuándo termina la pandemia? Claramente no cuando la población este vacunada, porque no la detiene, entonces es aquí donde aparece la alerta. ¿Van a seguir los gobiernos encerrando a su población, mermando sus derechos ante una enfermedad con la que indefectiblemente vamos a tener que convivir?
Creo que esta última pregunta es el núcleo de la cuestión. Y volviendo al inicio de esta reflexión, el coronavirus no es ni más ni menos que una nueva enfermedad, no muy distinta que otras que ya conocemos, y contra las cuales tenemos cierta inmunidad. Seguir con encierros, con la generación de miedos y paranoia ya sólo tiene un único sentido, y es seguir acumulando poder para generar los cambios en nuestra vida cotidiana que pareciera necesitar esta “cuarta revolución industrial” en marcha.
Quedará ya en los ciudadanos del mundo empezar a reflexionar si vamos a seguir permitiendo que acoten los derechos conquistados en la modernidad, y si esta posmodernidad, cargada de post verdad donde todo vale, termina imponiendo su lógica, sus reglas y una nueva forma de habitar el mundo, en donde la libertad no va a ser el valor fundamental. Y si no es la libertad el valor fundamental ¿Cuál será?, ¿la conectividad? ¿El acceso a la información? Todos intangibles, pero lo cierto es que el ser humano posmoderno se encuentra en una disyuntiva: superar la propia fragmentación identitaria que nos han impuesto, o condenarnos a una vida de esclavos virtuales al servicio de los estados y las corporaciones.
